The Department of Economics at the University of Nevada, Reno is seeking a candidate for an Assistant Professor of Economics and Extension Specialist. The candidate is expected to build and lead a program of scholarly research, outreach, extension and teaching in one or more of the following areas: agricultural economics, natural resource economics, regional economics, development economics, and environmental economics; with specializations in agricultural ecosystems, economics of public lands, water economics, wildfire risk, invasive rangeland species, arid agricultural ecosystems. The candidate will be a Statewide Extension Specialist for economics, developing collaborative and applied research programs relevant to Nevada and the Great Basin. A PhD in Economics, Agricultural Economics, Applied Economics, or an equivalent field is required by July 1, 2016.
