The Department of Economics invites applications for a full-time Lecturer position starting Fall 2016. The successful applicant is expected to teach primarily face-to-face economics classes, and to have a commitment to excellence in teaching high quality courses in Principles of Micro and Macro Economics, and upper-level economics courses. A strong candidate will have enthusiasm and dedication for pedagogic innovation in teaching economics. The successful applicant must relocate to Boise, Idaho.
Minimum Qualifications
A master’s degree in economics, and at least two years of experience teaching face-to-face economics courses at the university level. A proven ability to teach undergraduates is essential.
Preferred Qualifications
A PhD in economics. Preference will be given to candidates with a track record of successful teaching experience; those who have taught large sections of principles classes and upper-level economics courses; and those with experience in developing and teaching online courses. Academic research and/or professional experience outside of academia is especially valued.
