Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) is seeking two recent Ph.D. recipients with expertise in environmental economics for two-year High Meadows Post-Doctoral Fellowships beginning as soon as possible. EDF is a leading green group grounded on strong science and economics, uncommon partnerships and market-based approaches. Both Fellows will work collaboratively with EDF’s Chief Economist, other staff economists, scientists, and program experts to help develop and advocate science-based, economically sound environmental policies. The Mississippi River Delta and Natural Economist Infrastructure Economist Fellow will be based in EDF’s Ecosystems Program working on finding innovative solutions for financing natural infrastructure projects in the Mississippi River Delta region, and will report to the Deputy Director of the Water Program. The Post-Doctoral Economist, Global Climate Fellow will be based in EDF’s Global Climate Program working to help design and implement a “club” or coalition of carbon markets around the world, and will report to the Chief Natural Resource Economist.
