The L. Charles Hilton Jr. Center for the Study of Economic Prosperity and Individual Opportunity at Florida State University seeks a Postdoctoral Scholar conducting research in the areas of regulation, law and economics, institutions, and/or political economy.
The Postdoctoral Scholar will interact and collaborate with faculty affiliates and Ph.D. students with appointments in the Hilton Center. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct original research and publish his/her results in top-ranked journals, participate in weekly workshops and occasional Hilton Center meetings and conferences, and contribute to the overall mission of the Center.
Applicants are expected to have completed all requirements for a Ph.D. in economics, applied economics, or agricultural economics (or other closely related field) at the time of appointment (August 8, 2016).
There is no deadline for applying to the opening, but applications will be considered on a rolling basis beginning immediately. The expected start of the appointment is the Fall 2016 semester. The position offers competitive salary and benefits. The initial appointment is for one year, with the prospect of renewal subject to available funding.
