Bank of Slovenia, Slovenia’s central bank, a member of the Eurosystem, is interested in hiring two researchers, assigned to the Financial Stability and Macroprudential Policy Department and to the Analysis and Research Department. The departments are actively supporting the Bank in its supervisory function of the Slovenian financial system, its role in shaping the policies of the Eurosystem, and in contributing to the activities of the ECB working bodies.
The successful candidates are expected to conduct high-quality policy-oriented research focused on the interplay between the financial markets and the macro economy, macroeconomic and monetary policy issues or banking activities, financial stability, macroprudential policy instruments and macroprudential policy mix. The candidates would be involved in developing the Bank's modeling technology, writing for the official publications, preparing briefings for the Governor and the Banks' Executive board, and carrying out other regular operational tasks.
Candidates should posses a PhD (or expect to complete by autumn 2016) in the fields of economics or finance. Candidates who do not have a PhD should have at least five years of relevant experience. Good research skills, competence in econometric and statistical methodologies, ability to cooperate in teamwork, flexibility in accepting work assignments are vital for the posts.
