The Department of Economics at Cornell University seeks to hire up to two lecturers, at the rank of Lecturer (3 year appointment) or Senior Lecturer (5 year appointment), depending on qualifications. Economics hopes to secure funding to renew the appointments. Renewal will also be based on performance and the needs of the department. The ideal candidate will hold a Ph.D. in Economics or a related field, although candidates with an M.A. will also be considered. English fluency is required. The successful candidate will teach introductory-level and intermediate-level economics courses, and also participate in student advising. Preference will be given to those with administrative experience in addition to classroom expertise, as there may be administrative opportunities in a Masters program now under development.
