The Department of Economics, Rutgers University, New Brunswick will be hiring three full-time teaching instructors for the 2016-2017 academic year. Teaching responsibilities for these positions include teaching large sections (200+ students) of principles of macroeconomics and microeconomics and also elective courses. In addition to teaching, a successful candidate may be asked to act as a coordinator and supervisor of part-time lecturers and teaching assistants for intro level courses, or to perform other service functions. Ph.D. in Economics is preferred, but other graduate study or relevant industry experience is valued as well. Applicants must have three years’ experience in teaching economics at the University level, including previous experience teaching large sections. Starting salary is $60,000. Expected start date is September 1, 2016. Positions are renewable contingent upon satisfactory formal evaluation, availability of funding and a continued need for the position.
