Pending a final funding decision, the Department of Economics is seeking candidates for a visiting assistant professor position for the 2016-2017 academic year. All candidates should be prepared to teach statistics and principles of economics. Prior independent teaching experience is highly desirable. The Fall and Winter terms are both 12-week terms; the Fall term begins early September and ends before Christmas. Winter term begins mid-January and concludes mid-April.
Washington and Lee University is a highly-selective liberal arts college of 1800 undergraduates located in the Great Valley of Virginia. The Department of Economics, housed in the Williams School of Commerce, Economics and Politics, has a staff of 14 Ph.D. economists.
