Job Title: Tutor in Microeconomics, Part-time
Job Description: The primary responsibility of the tutor is to give weekly tutorial to the chairman of the firm. Given that the chairman has a intuitive but non-technical general understanding of economics (with a bachelor degree in Economics from Harvard), the materials to be covered in the tutorials will be mainly PhD-level, technical economic theory as well as research in game theory, behavioral economics, and other applicable topics in economics.
Occasionally, the tutor may also be asked to give a presentation or lecture to other partners and employees of the firm.
Firm: Town Square Trading is a successful and growing electronic trading firm with focus on market micro-structure and market players’ behavior. Our office is located in One World Trade Center. Our team is a small, dedicated and intellectual group of analysts, programmers and traders.
Qualification: The ideal candidate can come from either of the two categories: (1) an assistant professor or instructor of economics (2) Current or recently graduated PhD students from a top economics program.
Compensation: We will provide an extremely high compensation for your time. The compensation will also depend on your credentials and effectiveness of the tutorials.
