The Hong Kong Polytechnic University is a government-funded tertiary institution in Hong Kong. It offers programmes at various levels including Doctorate, Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees. It has a full-time academic staff strength of around 1,200. The total consolidated expenditure budget of the University is close to HK$6.6 billion (US$845 million) per year.
The School of Accounting and Finance is the longest established accounting school in Hong Kong with over 90 full-time academic staff in the areas of accounting, finance, economics, and law. The School has adequate resources to support a variety of research interests and activities, and has comparative advantage in promoting cross-disciplinary research that is needed in the modern business world. The School has maintained an excellent network with overseas and Chinese mainland institutions for collaborative work.
The HKSAR is an international city located strategically at the heart of Asia and is the gateway to China, with excellent transport links to major international cities. The University’s campus is located near the harbour connecting Kowloon and the Hong Kong Island, and in the vicinity of Tsim Sha Tsui, which is the most popular area for visitors.

Teaching Fellow / Instructor in Economics (tenable from August 2016) [2 posts]
[Appointment period: twelve months initially, with possibility of further appointment]
The appointees will be required to (a) engage in teaching and learning activities; and (b) contribute to programme/course planning, administration and development and/or engage actively in scholarly activities.
Applicants should have (a) a relevant higher degree plus not less than three years of post-qualification tertiary teaching experience; (b) good subject knowledge, skills and competence in the appropriate academic or professional discipline; and (c) an excellent command of English and good communication skills.
Preference will be given to those who have relevant teaching experience in tertiary institutions. Applicants with less teaching experience may be considered for the post of Instructor.
Remuneration:
