Terms of Employment: Full time, non-tenure line appointment beginning August 2016. Renewable for up to 3 years.

Qualifications: A Ph.D. in economics or related field is preferred, although outstanding ABD applicants will be considered.

Responsibilities: The successful applicant will contribute to the liberal arts and the major by teaching courses in principles of microeconomics and microeconomic theory. Interest in teaching operations management and/or environmental economics preferred. Potential applicants should be committed to undergraduate teaching, and have an understanding of, and appreciation for, the liberal arts environment.

The Department of Economics, Accounting, and Management at Central College offers majors in accounting, business management, and economics In collaboration with the mathematics/computer science department, the department also offers majors in actuarial science and information systems. The faculty at Central interact in an academically stimulating and congenial environment with a focus on student success. Over 96% of graduates within these majors are employed within 6 months of graduation and 94% of students complete at least one internship before graduation.
