The School of Economics at the University of Sydney is a partner in an Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence which will identify the pathways through which social and economic disadvantages are perpetuated over the life course, within communities, and across generations (www.lifecoursecentre.org.au). The Centre is comprised of an interdisciplinary team of renowned social scientists based at four Australian universities, NGOs, government departments, and eminent international research affiliates. This position is based the University of Sydney in the research program on human capability formation and encompasses a broad range of issues including child health and development; education; health; youths and risky behaviour; employment outcomes; and family formation.
As the successful candidate, you will work closely with colleagues in the School of Economics and elsewhere within the Centre to provide leadership and foster excellence in research, and further the goals of the Centre. You will be an accomplished researcher with an established track record in publications and applied policy work.
A competitive remuneration package of AUD$114,015 - $135,391 p.a. is available (which includes salary, up to 17% employer's contribution to superannuation and leave loading).
