Salary range: $123,175 - $185,100
BEA is recognized throughout the U.S. and around the world as a key source for the best and most comprehensive economic statistics available, such as gross domestic product (GDP), corporate profits, and personal income.
The Chief Innovation Officer (CNO) will lead innovation from a broad BEA perspective and forge collaborative strategies within BEA, across the federal statistical agencies, and throughout the international statistical community, and advise the Director with regard to the future.
The CNO will also, ensure that BEA's methodologies, operations, and statistics reflect the most up-to-date practices in the field of national economic accounting. The results of this work will significantly improve Bureau practices regarding methods of estimation, statistical interpretation, and presentation of results.
