The Department of Economics at Appalachian State University invites applications for one tenure-track, nine-month position at the assistant professor or associate professor rank beginning August 2017. The appointee is expected to maintain an active research agenda leading to publications in peer-reviewed journals, to provide high quality instruction, and to participate in service activities. Instructional duties will include introductory economics and/or statistics courses and upper-level courses in macroeconomics, with a preference for candidates qualified to teach time series/forecasting methods using SAS. The standard teaching load is nine hours per semester. Candidates who are ABD will be considered, but the position requires completion of all doctoral requirements by August 2017.
