Shanghai University is co-sponsored by China’s Ministry of Education and Shanghai Municipal Government. It is listed as a national university of “211” project. Shanghai University has 27 schools/colleges and 2 independent departments.

The School of Economics at Shanghai University invites applicants for permanent/full-time positions. Rank and fields are open. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in Economics or a related discipline from a leading university. ABDs must have completed their Doctorate at time of appointment. The successful candidate should demonstrate interest and ability to conduct high level research. Senior appointments are expected to assume a leadership role. Salaries are competitive, and will be commensurate with qualification.

Requirements: Tier One: Professors with outstanding academic achievements and international reputation;
Tier two: Associate professors, heads of R&D departments of top multi-national corporations;
Tier three: Assistant professors, post-doctors, PhD holders from prestigious overseas universities.
