The Graduate School of Public and International Affairs (GSPIA) at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications and nominations for two (2) tenure-stream faculty positions at the assistant professor level in public policy or public administration. Both appointments begin Fall term 2018. A PhD in public policy, public administration, public management, or social science field (political science, sociology, economics, or related field) is expected at the time of the appointment. Successful candidates will have research and teaching interests related to public administration, public policy and/or public management, broadly defined. The area of specialization is open, but candidates are expected to teach in the school and program core, as well as substantive policy or management area of research. Evidence of a promising research agenda leading to high quality publications in any of the wide variety of topics related to public administration and public policy is essential. Review of applications will begin November 1, 2017, and continue until the positions are filled. Candidates who would enhance the diversity of the school, including women and minorities, are especially encouraged to apply.
