The Department of Economics seeks applicants for multiple tenured positions at the Endowed Chair rank. Candidates who have demonstrated excellence in both research and teaching, with a distinguished record and international reputation as an expert in their field, will be considered for these positions. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the positions are filled. For additional information, see http://economics.nd.edu. Questions should be directed to Professor Kasey Buckles at kbuckles@nd.edu.
The University is an Equal Opportunity and affirmative action employer with a strong commitment to fostering a culturally diverse atmosphere for faculty, staff and students. We strongly encourage applications from women, minorities, and those attracted to a university with a Catholic identity. The University also considers all qualified applicants for employment without regard to status as a protected veteran or individual with a disability.
Should an application result in an appointment, the appointment would be contingent upon the successful completion of a background check. Applicants will be asked to identify all felony convictions and/or pending felony charges. Felony convictions do not automatically bar an individual from employment. Each case will be examined separately to determine the appropriateness of employment in the particular position. Failure to be forthcoming or dishonesty with respect to felony disclosures can result in the disqualification of a candidate.
