CERGE-EI, the joint workplace of Charles University and of the Economics Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences, invites applications for tenure-track positions as well as for senior positions with tenure. We welcome outstanding candidates from all fields of economics, even if we are primarily looking for candidates engaged in empirical research.

CERGE-EI combines a U.S.-style Ph.D. program in economics with an economics research center. Teaching loads are light and the research environment is excellent. Salary, including performance-based supplements, is well within the range of Western European academic salaries. There are no language or citizenship requirements other than fluency in English.

Applicants at the senior level must have demonstrated excellence in research and teaching. Selected candidates will be invited for interviews either at the ASSA meetings in Philadelphia or will be interviewed via Skype.
