The Department of Pharmaceutical and Health Economics, School of Pharmacy, University of Southern California and the Leonard D. Schaeffer Center for Health Policy and Economics invites applications for two faculty positions at the assistant, associate or full professor level to conduct research and teach in the Department of Pharmaceutical and Health Economics (DPHE).
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in economics or a related field and demonstrate strength in research and teaching in pharmaceutical economics and policy. The successful candidate(s) will contribute to research in health economics, pharmacoeconomics, cost benefit or cost-effectiveness analyses, modeling or related fields. The successful candidate would have demonstrated capabilities in grant solicitation, a track record of publishing in peer reviewed journals, and excellence in teaching and advising students.
The Schaeffer Center was created in 2009 through a generous donation from Leonard and Pamela Schaeffer with the collaboration of the USC School of Pharmacy and the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy. The Schaeffer Center measurably improves value in health through evidence based policy solutions, research excellence, transformative education, and private and public sector engagement to raise awareness and produce groundbreaking research in the areas of health economics, health policy and pharmaceutical economics.
