Banco de la Republica, the Colombian central bank, is interested in hiring new and experienced Ph.D. economists to work at its research department at the regional office in Bucaramanga.

The main tasks of the potential candidates would be to carry out high-quality policy-relevant research, both for publication in refereed journals and to produce reports for the Bank's senior management. The areas of interest include agricultural and environmental economics, development economics, and microeconometrics. A good command of spoken and written Spanish is indispensable.
