The Department of Economics at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte invites applications for a tenure track Assistant or Associate (with tenure) Professor to begin August 15, 2018. High quality research and teaching are expected of the successful candidate. Preference will be given to candidates with research interests in macroeconomics or monetary economics and strong quantitative and econometric skills. Candidates should have a completed doctorate in economics or a related field by the start of appointment. Interviews will be held at the 2018 ASSA meeting in Philadelphia. Salary, teaching load, and other resources are competitive and consistent with other national research universities.
The Department of Economics offers an M.S. in Economics. The Department also plays a key role in the Ph.D. in Business Administration with a Major in Finance, the Ph.D. in Public Policy, and the M.S. in Mathematical Finance programs. The ideal candidate will provide high quality instruction in one or more of those programs depending on the candidate’s fields.
