The Department of Economics of the University of Zurich is seeking to fill a position at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor, starting September 2018. Applicants should have a PhD degree in Economics before taking up the position. Successful candidates for Assistant Professorships are appointed to three-year contracts, renewable once, with evaluation for tenure after six years. Applicants at the rank of Associate or Full Professor should have an established academic record commensurate with the position.
The research focus of the position lies in the area of “The Behavioral Economics of Financial Markets.” This includes research that employs insights and methods from behavioral economics to better understanding financial decision making and outcomes in financial markets. The new professor will have the opportunity of being affiliated with the UBS International Center of Economics in Society. The position involves teaching undergraduate and graduate courses. Teaching can be entirely in English.
