The Department of Economics and Finance in the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor position in Economic History. Candidates with a primary field in economics, who have a strong research agenda, and are dedicated to excellence in the classroom and mentoring, are encouraged to apply. This a nine-month, tenure track position with a typical teaching load of 4 courses per academic year.

Minimum requirements include a Ph.D. in economics or a related field. Candidates must have strong analytical, quantitative, and communication skills, and must support the Huntsman School’s focus on student success. Excellent teaching, student mentoring, and high-impact research are required. In addition, a willingness and ability to successfully teach freshman level courses to business majors (as well as upper division electives in economics) is required. Candidates will be affiliated with the Center for Growth and Opportunity at Utah State University and will conduct research and mentor students through the Center.
