Melbourne Institute: Applied Economic & Social Research, University of Melbourne seeks a number of enthusiastic, motivated economists with research expertise in applied economic and social research. Positions are available in a number of areas which include applied microeconomics, labour economics, social policy, the economics of education, the economics of healthcare financing and organisation, the economics of households in the areas of poverty and financial well-being.

One of the Fellows will work with the Director in her areas of research of economics of education, public economics, and charitable giving. Other positions are in the economics of healthcare financing and organisation, one position in labour economics and social policy a possible position in the area of poverty and household well-being and a possible position in the area of applied microeconomics with a focus on field experiments. Positions are available as a Level B Research Fellow, or a Level C Senior Research Fellow (subject to qualifications and experience).

Candidates should possess strong applied econometric skills especially as applied to the analysis of longitudinal survey data, working with cross-section and panel administrative data, and/or working on field experiments.
