The Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin invites applications for a full-time faculty position in economics, at any rank and in any field. A Ph.D. in Economics or related field is expected by the appointment date. Candidates should be prepared to show a career commitment to excellence in research and graduate teaching in an interdisciplinary, policy-oriented setting. A demonstrated interest in applying economic research to policy analysis and/or policy engagement is essential. Successful candidates will have a highly innovative research agenda, and be prepared to teach and advise students with both domestic and international policy interests. Willingness to teach an introductory course in international trade or development economics is a plus.
