Job Summary:
Westat is seeking an experienced policy researcher leader with strong quantitative analysis skills to lead projects in the labor area and potentially support other projects regarding Federal benefit programs and grantee initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
•Directing and managing large projects or a series of smaller projects including leading design, data collection, analysis, and report writing.
•Assuming significant business development responsibility for identifying new opportunities, responding to requests for proposals and maintaining current client relations.
•Maintaining an industry presence through publishing in peer-reviewed journals and presenting at conferences.
Job Requirements:
•A Ph.D. in economics, sociology, or a related social sciences discipline and at least 10 years of postdoctoral related work experience.
Candidates must have strong empirical skills and experiencing applying these skills in their project work. Experience in public policy and social program research, ability to work in a team environment, and excellent written and oral communication skills are essential. Experience with program evaluation and directing Department of Labor projects are a plus.
