The Dallas-Fort Worth Federal Statistical Research Data Center (DFW FSRDC) seeks a full-time Administrator. The DFW FSRDC will be located inside the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas (www.census.gov/about/adrm/fsrdc/locations/dfw.html), and provide a secure environment where qualified researchers conduct approved statistical research using restricted micro-level data collected by the Census Bureau and other agency partners.
Primary responsibilities include:
a) Assisting researchers in economics, geography, health policy, sociology, demography, and data science to develop successful FSRDC proposals;
b) Overseeing FSRDC daily operations;
c) Serving as a liaison between the Census and the FSRDC;
d) Assisting the Executive Director in marketing the center to the research community.
The Administrator will be a U.S. Census Bureau employee. The ideal candidate would have a Ph.D. in economics or other social science field, experience in multiple disciplines, a background in statistical methods and strong organizational skills.
This position is expected to start March 2018 before the center opening mid-2018. U.S. citizenship is required. The DFW FSRDC is doing informal recruiting in anticipation of a position posted by the Census Bureau in January 2018.
