Research Institute for Environmental Economics and Management (RIEEM) at Waseda University invites applications for a termed research fellow position (equivalent to Research Assistant Professor).

We seek candidates with sufficient Japanese and English language skills to conduct a research project “Empirical examinations on environmental and energy policy: Price and non-pricing approach.” This project includes a joint research project with universities in Germany and the United States.

The research fellow will employ empirical studies using microdata collected from surveys that will be conducted through the project. The fellow will help hosting workshops when inviting scholars. Although the project is on the environmental issue, empirical economists from other fields are welcome.

Applicants must have completed the requirements for PhD by July 1, 2018.

Expected starting date: From April 1 to July 1, 2018.
Duration: Two years from the starting date of employment. At the end of this two-year period, taking into account the fellow's research and work performance, this position may be extended until March 31, 2021.
