The Deepak and Neera Raj Center for Indian Economic Policy at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) seeks a Research Scholar to conduct work on the Indian economy and policy. The position will report to the Director of the Center. Successful execution will require generating original research, project management and communicating research findings to a range of audiences in a manner that maximizes policy impact, as well as contributing to the Center’s wider research and convening efforts.
Qualifications include Master’s degree in economics, public policy or quantitative political science, or equivalent, which could include bachelor’s degree in economics, and high-level, relevant professional experience, 3-5 years of work experience in economics and public policy writing especially as it relates to economic policies in India, strong quantitative skills including ability to work with large datasets, and a high level of verbal and written communications skills.
