Ma Yinchu School of Economics at Tianjin University (TJU), the first modern higher education institution in China, is the newly established school named after Ma Yinchu, the most respected economist inside China who received BA, MA and Ph.D in economics from Peiyang University (the TJU predecessor), Yale and Columbia University, respectively. Management and economics discipline is among the key disciplines under the TJU’s implementation plan of the nationwide “Double First Class” initiative aimed at the “world-class university” and “world-class discipline”.
Led by the world’s renowned energy, environmental and public economist ZhongXiang Zhang who is consecutively ranked the 4th in the 16-person list of the most cited scholars inside China in the field of economics, econometrics and finance, the new school invites applications for full-time tenure-track faculty positions of all ranks (Assistant / Associate / Full Professor) with interests in applied microeconomics, macroeconomics, energy economics, environmental economics, public economics, innovation and growth, industrial organization, game theory, econometrics, experimental economics, behavior economics, development economics, international economics, and regional economics.
Applicants for assistant professor positions should have the capability of publishing in top-tier economics journals, while applicants for higher academic positions should have well established record of research and teaching effectiveness. Appointees must possess Ph.D by July 2019.
The compensation package (including salary, relocation fund, and fringe benefits) will match with qualifications. In addition, the school will provide additional incentive funding for high-quality research and international exchange funding for international conference.
We will conduct interview at the 2019 AEA annual meeting in Atlanta, GA.
