The Department of Economics of the Faculty of Economics and Business at the university Diego Portales (Santiago, Chile) seeks applications for two full-time positions of Assistant Professor and / or Associates in the area of Applied Microeconomics or International Economics. Applicants with a high level of proficiency in the techniques of data analysis, and that are interested in the development of new technologies to apply to the study of economics will be especially valued.

Applicants must have obtained a doctorate degree (or be on track to obtain it in the first semester of 2019) in the area of Economics. They are expected to show a clear commitment to research and to actively contribute to the design, realization and evaluation of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. While the focus of the position will be research and teaching, candidates are expected to actively participate in the management activities of the department.

The salaries of the offered positions are competitive, with respect to the Chilean market, and commiserate with the experience and career history of the candidate. It is expected that the selected professional will join the faculty during the first semester of 2019
