The Department of Economics at the American University in Bulgaria would like to invite candidates for an open position in microeconomics. This full-time position is starting fall 2019. AUBG is a small residential liberal arts university, located in Blagoevgrad. English is the language of instruction.

Position Responsibilities: Teaching load of 6 courses per academic year (9 months) with specialty in industrial organization, game theory, and applied microeconomics; producing research; advising students; and serving the department, university, and wider community.

The successful candidate will possess the following:
(a) PhD degree in economics or related field;
(b) Record of scholarly research;
(c) Experience teaching relevant undergraduate courses in an American liberal arts-style education;
(d) Ability to contribute to other courses in the department and propose topics courses.
(e) Experience in advising students and other academic service;
(f) A collegial disposition.
