Professor Molly Schnell is looking for a motivated and highly skilled individual to work as a full-time Research Professional for at least one year. The individual will be based at Northwestern and will be funded through both the National Bureau of Economic Research and the Department of Economics at Northwestern. Starting date is negotiable.
The job involves close collaboration on a number of projects at the intersection of health economics and industrial organization, with a particular focus on the causes and consequences of provider behavior.
Expected duties include:
• Assisting with literature reviews and project development
• Preparing large datasets for analysis
• Helping design and implement statistical analyses using both STATA and MATLAB
• Presenting findings and participating in manuscript production
The ideal candidate has significant programming experience, natural attention to detail, ability to work independently to solve problems. Bachelor's degree in Economics or other quantitative field required.
