The Center on Education Data and Policy (EDP) of the Urban Institute uses hard data and rigorous resources to study policy issues regarding the education system’s potential to increase socioeconomic mobility and address growing inequality from prekindergarten through post secondary years. EDP is seeking an experienced education policy researcher to work collaboratively on a variety of quantitative research projects. Projects will include the conceptualization of study designs and methodologies, statistical analysis, and policy analysis. The center is particularly interested in candidates whose work spans multiple components of the educational system and/or examines the intersections between education and related policy areas such as criminal justice, housing, and health. The successful incumbent will have the academic and/or professional experience that is equivalent to a PhD. Other essential qualifications include: experience contributing to research design,a strong record of involvement in project management and the development of proposals for external funding, strong oral and written communication skills and the capacity for statistical analysis and a strong working knowledge of education systems and policies.
