A research and education center, Institute of Quality Development Strategy at Wuhan University (IQDS) – China Enterprise Survey Data Center (CESDC) focuses its attention to the studies of various issues related to the high quality development of the Chinese economy.
A large scale investigation into the match between enterprises and employees in the manufacturing industry of China, China Employer Employee Survey (CEES) successfully completed three survey missions between 2015 and 2018. Rich and varied sample data have been collected from more than 2,000 enterprises and over 20,000 workers, which include 1,957 questions for enterprises, 797 for workers and 588 for governments. Effective samples have mounted to 1,781 in enterprises, 14,639 in workers and 101 in governments respectively, forming a nationwide enterprise – worker match databank in China. This databank has now made available an important world level data source for researchers at IQDS.
On the basis of CEES and research of the kind, strong links have been forged between IQDS and Stanford University, Yale University, Harvard University and Peking University, among others, in the form of frequent and normal research cooperations and the publication of high quality papers in scientific periodicals nationally and internationally.
Research positions are now open for candidates applications, with competitive salaries and subsidies and research funds, and with fine work environment to be further improved with the completion of the Grand China Quality Lecture Hall and its annexes in the near future.
Interviews will be open for the interested during the annual conference of AEA at San Diego on January 3 to 5, 2020.
Application Requirements:
1.A doctorate in economics or its equivalent, to be conferred before June 2020.
2.Potential and aptitude for research and publication of papers in first class academic journals in the area.
3.Sufficient knowledge and capabilities in micro econometrics, labor economics, development economics, etc.
