The School of Economics at University College Dublin is seeking multiple Lecturer/Assistant Professors to contribute to its involvement with Beijing-Dublin International College. The positions involve spending one term in Beijing per year (during which staff receive a generous living allowance in addition to the regular salary) with the remainder of the year spent in Dublin. Although the bulk of teaching duties will be in Beijing, BDIC staff contribute to research and other School activities alongside Dublin-based staff.
UCD is Ireland's largest university and its Economics department is the nation's leading group of academic researchers (https://www.ucd.ie/economics/). Our vibrant, international staff are committed to producing cutting-edge research and providing a world-class educational experience. BDIC is a recognised College of UCD and Beijing University of Technology that offers an expanding range of degrees including a BSc in Financial Economics.
Applicants must have an active research agenda and be capable of excellent teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Applications from all fields of Economics are welcomed. The salary will be on the 95 Lecturer/Assistant Professor Below-the-Bar scale in accordance with Department of Finance guidelines (https://www.ucd.ie/hr/pay/payscales/). These are five-year positions.
