The Economics Department invites applications for an Assistant Professor starting Fall, 2020 in Public Economics, Industrial Organization and other areas of Applied Empirical Microeconomics. Successful candidates will display promise for publishing in peer reviewed journals, effective teaching and dedication to inclusive excellence in higher education.

University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) is a mid-sized research university with a Carnegie classification of RU/H: Research Universities (high research activity). Our department has been awarded a Sloan Foundation grant for under-represented minority undergraduates to pursue post-baccalaureate research opportunities in economics.
