Albion College is seeking an excellent teacher for a tenure-track position microeconomics starting August 2020 (pending approval). Teaching responsibilities: three undergraduate sections per semester, including economic principles, intermediate microeconomics/managerial economics, statistics, and data analytics with Excel and other tools. Eventually, the person hired will be expected to teach a first-year seminar or interdisciplinary honors social science course. Possible but not required: teach an elective in economics or management or a course addressing environmental, ethnicity, gender, or global issues. Courses should be perceived by business undergrads as both rigorous and relevant. Advising and mentoring students are important responsibilities. Applicants must expect PhD completion by August 2020, and provide evidence of effective teaching and potential for ongoing scholarship.
