The Joint Warfare Analysis Center (JWAC) is located in Dahlgren, Virginia, near our nation’s capital. Its mission is to provide the Department of Defense, Joint Chiefs of Staff, and other customers with effects-based analysis and precision targeting options to support military planning for selected networks and nodes in order to carry out U.S. national security and military strategies.

JWAC is recruiting quantitative economists. Ideal candidates should be able to demonstrate substantive experience applying quantitative economic modeling techniques to both guide and assess issues of interest to the US government and Department of Defense. Candidates should have formal training or experience in statistical packages like R, STATA or Python and a background in econometrics, statistics, and input-output analysis.

A well-qualified candidate will have experience and training to conduct complex analysis that addresses national security challenges. If selected, candidates will work on multi-disciplinary teams to provide technically focused solutions and recommendations to Department of Defense stakeholders.

Selectees will join the Department of Defense civilian workforce. Based upon experience and educational background, new hires could anticipate joining JWAC paygrade would fall between a GS 9-13 paygrade with DC locality pay. Interested applicants should submit their resumes to:
