Full Text of JOE Listing:
The Economics Department invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in applied microeconomics (JEL classifications H, I, J or L) and applied econometrics (JEL classifications C2, C3, C5 or C8) starting fall semester 2020. The candidate will have a willingness and ability to become proficient in teaching SAS programming for data analytics. Knowledge of SQL and other programming languages is a bonus.
Candidates must have a PhD in economics by August 15, 2020 and show evidence of high potential for excellence in teaching and significant research publishable in quality peer-reviewed journals. The successful candidate will also have potential for success in achieving external funding. Teaching responsibilities include classes in introductory economics, econometrics (data analytics), and other courses in the candidate’s area of expertise. Additional responsibilities include advising students, leading students’ capstone senior project, assisting in curriculum development, and participating in other departmental activities as assigned by the department chair.
