The Department of Economics at the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, seeks TWO Clinical Assistant Professors of Economics. These instructional non-tenure-track full-time faculty positions, (10-month academic-year) offer initial 3-year renewable appointments. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in economics with any specialization. We seek committed educators who are enthusiastic about teaching broadly within economics at the undergraduate and MA/MS levels. Teaching load is 3 courses per semester. Successful candidates will innovate in economics instruction as new effective approaches appear, lead in undergraduate curriculum development, and incorporate current events into instruction to keep course content topical for students. Priority to applicants with an interest in keeping abreast of, and attending career development activities on, pedagogy in economics.
Responsibilities include teaching large introductory and core classes in economics, along with the design of new courses to attract new majors and non-majors to the department. Must be able to instruct economics in a way that is relevant to undergraduates and draws students into the major.
