Overview:
DevTech Systems, Inc. (DevTech) is an international consulting firm dedicated to development, with over 30 years of experience providing advisory services and technical assistance to government, private sector, and civil society stakeholders in more than 100 countries. We are a data driven organization that specializes in informing policy making by delivering focused data-driven evidence-based analysis products and services. DevTech core practice areas include: Economic and Data analysis, Monitoring and Evaluation, Education and Youth Development, Gender and Inclusive Development, and Public Financial Management (PFM).
DevTech strengthens the capacity of governments, businesses and citizens to build open and sustainable economic systems that encourage growth and reduce poverty. DevTech has helped local and national governments implement sound budget practices, carry out tax and financial reforms, decrease government corruption, support small businesses, and establish effective economic policies and regulations.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
-Conduct technical assistance for PFM and public finance projects, including field-based short-term technical assistance.
-Develop research papers, articles, and reports as well as conduct presentations, seminars and workshops representing DevTech, as needed.
-Write and review technical proposals for USAID or other organizations, and expressions of interest for PFM opportunities
-Conduct capture, partner identification and development and other business development activities for PFM opportunities
-Conduct literature reviews and other research activities
-May perform project manager role for existing or new PFM projects
-Support close out activities such as resume, past performance, and boilerplate filing.
-Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Master's degree in economics, public policy, public administration, or related field plus a minimum of five years of experience in international development related to PFM, public finance, macroeconomics, and business development.
Strong organization, personal communication, and writing skills.
Proficiency with Office tools - must be a power user and show deep proficiency in Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel as well as Adobe Acrobat.
Experience with at least one econometrics package: R, Stata, or EViews preferred.
Willingness and ability to travel domestically and overseas.
Full professional proficiency in English required. Second language desired (French and Arabic are a plus).
Experience Requirements:
Participated in technical writing of proposals for USAID in PFM.
Possess a demonstrable knowledge in the areas of PFM, public finance, or macroeconomics.
