Job Announcement
The College of Business Administration at The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) invites applications from qualified candidates for a renewable, non-tenure track Assistant Professor of Instruction in Quantitative Methods. Salary and benefits are AACSB-competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. Responsibilities include working with other faculty in the department’s quantitative methods group in delivering the first two business statistics courses in the core curriculum along with introductory business analytics courses. Opportunities also exist to participate in the Corporate Business Analytics Group in directing student projects with corporate partners. Though the primary focus of the position is on high-quality instruction, pedagogical/practitioner-based scholarship is welcome. Appointment begins September 1, 2020 and are subject to budgetary approval.
Required Qualifications
Preferred candidates will have a Ph.D. in Economics or Statistics; however, candidates with a Masters degree in Economics or Statistics and significant related teaching and professional experience will also be considered. Working knowledge of Python and R is desired.
