The Department of Economics at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Universidad de la República invites applications for tenure-track positions at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning in September 2020. Candidates must show a strong research potential in any field of economics, and have earned a Ph.D. degree by September 2020 or shortly thereafter.

The applicant will teach 90 hours courses at the undergrad and masters level per year.

Please submit via JOE: a cover letter specifically explaining your interest in our department, a resume, one research paper, your teaching statement, and three letters of recommendation.

Candidates will be screened and invited for interviews via Skype. Fly-out will be given for successful candidates.

Review of applications will start immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
