We are inviting applications for a Research Associate (PostDoc) in Financial Economics at Universität Hamburg.

The research of this group focuses on the interactions of financial markets, monetary policy and the macroeconomy. Important topics include the modeling of the term structure of interest rates, risk premia in asset prices, the effects of monetary policy on financial markets, and the role of the financial system for climate change. The emphasis is on empirical work using modern econometric methods.
The candidate will be a member of a team with a strong research focus and an international network, and will receive intensive research support.

This is a three-year position with a possible extension of up to three years depending on achievements during the first stage.

The position includes a teaching load of 5 hours per week. At least one-third of the time is available for the associate’s own research.

Requirements are a university degree and a doctorate in Economics or a related field, as well as profound knowledge of macroeconomics and/or financial economics. An excellent command of the English language is expected.
