The Schroeder School of Business at the University of Evansville invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics position for the 2020-21 academic year. A Ph.D. in Economics is required, although candidates in ABD status will be considered.

The initial one-year appointment may be converted into a tenure-track position based on exceptional performance in teaching and research, positive feedback from full-time faculty, and availability of funding.

The teaching load is three courses per semester at the undergraduate level. Course assignments may include intro and intermediate courses, econometrics, and subjects in the candidate’s field of specialization. Preference will be given to those who provide evidence of effective teaching.

Applicants should submit a cover letter, resume, research sample, syllabi and student evaluations from courses they designed and taught, and three reference letters. Applications received by April 13, 2020 will be given full consideration. The review process will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. In the initial round, video interviews will be conducted with a short list of candidates.
