The Kenneth C. Griffin Department of Economics at the University of Chicago invites applications for a three year full-time Research Associate position beginning in the 2020-2021 academic year.
Working in collaboration with the faculty directors of the TMW Center for Early Learning + Public Health, the Research Associate will conduct original research. The Research Associate is expected to play an active role in obtaining and conducting funded research and authoring/co-authoring academic publications. The position entails collaboration on new and ongoing research projects, with the main focus on (but not limited to) using economic models and machine learning techniques to conduct empirical analysis of data from TMW Center’s research projects and the tool, SPEAK. This position will provide an opportunity for the Research Associate to be a part of the vibrant research environment of the TMW Center for Early Learning + Public Health and the Kenneth C. Griffin Department of Economics.
Qualifications
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Economics, at least two years postdoctoral experience, and a strong commitment to research. A demonstrated ability to communicate research findings clearly to multiple audiences through oral presentations and written work is required. A strong expertise in education and health policy, and experience in writing grants is preferred.
