This position is based in the School of Economics within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Sydney, working on the research program on the cognitive science of disadvantage. This encompasses a broad range of issues like neuroeconomics, behavioural economics and cognitive psychology including mental health, child health and development, education, sleep disorders, youths and risky behaviour. In particular, the position is part of a new ARC Discovery Grant exploring the role of self-control in economic behaviour.
The successful candidate will have a PhD in Economics, with evidence of a strong research interest in behavioural economics generally, and the role of self-control in economic decision-making in particular. They will be an accomplished researcher with an established track record in publications and applied policy.
Remuneration package: AUD $115,458K - $130,564K p.a. (which includes base salary Academic Level A - B, leave loading and up to 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation)
