Governance Lab (GovLab), in collaboration with EPoD India at LEAD at Krea University, Yale University, and the London School of Economics, is pleased to announce it is accepting applications for a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow to provide research support on a portfolio of projects relating to economic and political economy research in Nepal.

The Fellow will support research on political selection and service delivery in Nepal, evaluating the impact of federalization on service delivery, state capacity, and economic performance. With the unfolding COVID crisis, we are also exploring various new research and policy questions in Nepal; the selected candidate would help drive forward these research agendas in consultation with principal investigators and managers on the project. Selected responsibilities include overseeing a field-based team; managing relationships with funding organizations, partner institutions, and stakeholders, including government; and overseeing data collection and analysis.

Applicants should have a PhD in economics, political science, public policy, or a related field with advanced quantitative research skills and a solid understanding of research project design and processes, including experience with RCTs. Nepali language skills are a must. This is a one-year position with possibility of extension, based in Nepal. We are looking to fill this position immediately.
