Job Description

FutureProof Technologies is a venture-backed financial analytics startup that aims to transform finance by translating climate change risk into financial risk. Working with leading economists, climate scientists, and finance experts at Stanford and UC San Diego, we are developing trailblazing climate risk analytics that are seamlessly integrated with standard financial valuation tools and resiliency planning.

This is a full-time role that will play a central role in performing statistical analysis with FutureProof, to analyze the relationship between climate variables and financial outcomes that forms our core IP. FutureProof has offices in San Diego and the Bay Area, but the job can be done from anywhere.

Qualifications

*Strong skill in coding for statistical applications
*Strong knowledge of econometrics
*Fluency coding in one or more of: R, Python, ArcGIS, MATLAB, and/or Stata
*Experience working with real-world data
*A master’s or Ph.D. degree in economics. We seek to hire for both more junior and more senior roles.
*Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
